2. Know the Destination & Highlight (for Cruise traveler to Bangkok)

Cruise traveler visiting Thailand, there are several port that you can stop such as Phuket, Samui , Bangkok and Laeam Chabang for instance.
Beach destination such as Samui and Phuket is easy to navigate around by your own and less problem with traffic.

In this article, I would like to talk about Bangkok and LeamChabang only.

Bangkok Destination


Bangkok has many highlight in the city. The would rank top five place of recommend and activities as below.

 - The Grand palace

3.       Royal Temple such at the reclining Buddhatemple, The temple of dawn and the golden Buddha temple


4.       Shopping place such as Weekend market , Pratunamarea


5.       Nightlife at China town and flower market
Place near by Bangkok which is around 1-2 hour away from Bangkok

1.       Floating market ( the most famous is Damnern Saduak, weekend floating market such as Ban kra choa )

2.       Ayutthaya ancient city (this is good location if you travel and can reach Leam Chabang within 1.30 hours)

3.       Kanchanaburi – or well know place such as the bridge on the River Kwai and Tiger temple
For those who’ve got only one free day and arrival at Leam Chabang port. It will take around 5 hours on the road. So I would not recommend to visit Bangkok. Unless, you can stay overnight at Bangkok for 1 night, then this is a good place for you.

Leam Chabang

Leam Chabang is a small industrial town which is 2 hours away from Bangkok. During rush hour , it may take longer to travel in and out from Bangkok. The near by tourist destination for 30 minutes away is Pattaya.

Pattaya is a beach town offer various activities for days and night . Top recommend place and thing to day is including
1.       Sriracha Tiger Zoo – tiger , crocodile and elephant show

3.       Suan Nongnuch , the theme garden and cultural show
4.       Swimming with dolphin


5.       The Sanctuary of the truth ( them castle in Thai style along the ocean)

If you have less time for a day stop or you want to stay overnight on the cruise, this is activities that you can consider. For those who want to stay overnight, you might consider the place below to visit at night.
1.       Pattaya walking street
2.       Tiffani or Alcazar show
3.       Alangkan show

Day 3 Ayutthaya History and Elephant Life


A fun day to visit temples ruins and elephant farm in Ayutthaya, The World Heritage.

08.30 Meet our tour guide and ready to ride to north of Bangkok for 1 hour to reach Ayutthaya province




09.30-12.00 Visit Wat Pra Srisanphet and the complex of former royal palace and continue to temple ruins of Wat Mahathat
















12.00 Lunch



13.00 Take a break at Ayutthaya study center: The centre houses a museum and provides a range of information alongside a well-stocked library covering all aspects of the city s history. The displays are very impressive and cover the development of the city and the traditions of the area. This is a good visit for student of Thai history








14.30 Visit Wat Chai Wattanaram (if time valid we can stop by for coffee break and small shopping at Ayothaya floating market)






16.00 Stop at Elephant farm for feeding elephant and continue to back to hotel

Day 2 Train Market - Damnern Saduak Floating Market and Sea food Lunch

                Leave hotel in early morning, to Damnernsaduak Floaing Market tour. On the way, stop at train market , famous market which people come to shop fresh product on railway track.








Visit the floating market, Damnoen Saduak floating market is the most colorful of Thailand s floating markets , about 104 km southwest of Bangkok.


Visit the famous floating market, then board a canal boat and view native life along the canal banks and arrive at the market, where boats of various shapes and size, carry goods for trading such as tropical fruits, vegetables, flowers and food on wooden boats with smile of vendors. 




After this continue to Tha chalom for yummy seafood lunch. Then, we return back to the hotel and free at leisure or shopping in the afternoon.
