Amazing Bangkok

23 Sep 2013 . We have a chance to organize Private tour for 2 people, George and his mother. This is my first time to go with a guide. I waited guide Opal and tourists at Wild Orchid Villa's lobby at 7.30 a.m. and we moved off at 8.00 a.m.

The first destination is the Reclining Buddha temple or Wat Pho. This morning has the weather is good.

Explore the Reclining Buddha temple or Wat Pho, the oldest and biggest temple with the largest number of pagodas (95 in all) in the city. Also, it was the first open university of Thailand which offered courses in several branches of knowledge like literature, astrology, medicine and massage. It's well known for its huge Reclining Buddha,46 m. long and 15 m. high.

Tourists are happy and interested in the history of Thailand and Buddhist Art.Next , we went to Visit the Emerald Buddhatemple, then we arrived, it's raining but there are many tourists in the area

The Emerald Buddha temple, the exquisite temple contains an image of Buddha carved from a single piece of jade and one of the most holy and revered of religious objects in Thailand, then head to the Grand Palace, the spectacular Royal Palace with intricate architectures, an area of 218,400 sq. meters and is surrounded by walls built in 1782. The length of the four walls is 1,900 meters. Within these walls are situated Government offices and the Chapel Royal.

After that, we took a long-tailed boat along the Chao Phraya River to see Thai lifestyle, contrast between luxurious condominiums and ruined houses along both sides of the canal. Pass the Grand Palace and the Royal Barge Museum which houses ceremonial King's Barges decorated with multi-color glasses, gilt and stuccos.

We got off at WatArun or the temple of Dawn to visit the tallest prang in Thailand. It was built in the concept of Mount Meru, the resident of God located on the center of the Universe. Then, take a ferry to the other side of the river.

We had lunch at Methavalai Sorndaeng restaurant. Authentic Thai food with amusing oldies song as the background. Even though this shop has been famous since 1957, but some Thai people is clueless about this place.

After finished lunch, drop off tourists happily.

Day 2 10th July 2012 Bangkok Relaxing day

Relax in Bangkok

Today is a free day. The family decided to relax and swim. It is idea to relax after long flight as the Wiffels did. Swiming, walking around Eastin hotel area or go online since the hotel offer free wire fire.

In the evening, Guide Phet and I met them and took them to restaurant near by.

There are 7 people in my compact car (1500 CC), the Wijffels (5 people), Guide Phet, and Me, Haha,, Please do not ask how can we fit in the car. I drove the car and Mr Cameil sit in the front with adjust the seat further front. 5 peoples sat in rare seat and they know how the fish feel like in fish can. It is such a pretty that we did not take picture in the car.

I took them to Isan restaurant which normally take 5 minute ride. Due to Bangkok traffic, it took us 25 minutes since we struck in one junction for 20 minutes. So we have many good conversation about Thailand and Holland instead. The topic cover about politics, people , and educations.

After arrival the restaurant, we order local Thai food which consist of mine taste dishes such as Pad Thai, fire chicken, stir vegetable, and some spicy salad for those who love spicy.

Follow by walk around victory monument for shopping at the end of the trip. Ivar gor one T-shirt for 150 Baht which is 4 Euro by estimate and we try some ice cream. And I took them back to hotel.
