This article aims show about my trip to Nan so my writing is almost like diary. I think it would be better to get Idea how was it like in Nan. Journey begin
13 March 2014
I continued my trip to Nan. P Bua and Tymo woke up early morning to drive me to Rong Kwang intersection for 28 kilometer .
07.00 I arrived Rong Kwang and waited for the van from Phrea to Nan. It was only 20 minutes the local van show up and it is easily to hop in.
08.20 I arrived Nan and Meet my colleague at bus station. Our Nan travel for 4 days 3 nights trip began. There are five of us for this journey - Dome, P Top , Pan and Mam (Nan tour guide)
Nan province
Nan center city is on the flat valley , surrounded by the mountain. This province share border with Laos . It is almost one of the most Northern province which is far and less development. However due to the diversity of ethic , unique culture and mountainous view , within the last 5 years many Thais and western tourist come to Nan more than the pass. Many people has impression that Nan is similar to Luang Phrabang in Loas. There are 27 temples, and no high rise building in Nan. This make Nan very unique and charming.
Wat Phathat Chea Heang
We drove to one of the most importance temple of the town, Wat Phra that chea heang. The temple is located on the suburb area on a small hill. The elegant Naga stair make the Stupa and temple complex out standing. People can see this temple from far away direction.
We spend an hour to walk around for do merit making as many Thai do. We donate the money, offered the flower , incense stick and lit the candle. Many of offering things look alike at temple in Phrea but quite different from my area , the Northeast of Thailand.
By the way, this temple is for people who born in rabbit year to come for commemorate. The rabbit is the year that our current King born as well.

Art Gallery (Nan Riverside Art Gallery หอศิลป์นริมน่าน)
Then, we continue to Pua district. On the way , we made a stop at Art Gallery of Mr. Winai, the famous national artist who well known in painting in canvas as well as the metal sculpture.

It was a little hot for today. Otherwise , the environs of art museum and mind mood will be better. The Art museum is located on the Nan River. We walked around to see the work of Mr. Winai on the second floor and the ground floor. Even , I am not an art lover. I must say that his work is very inspire and impressive.

If you like to come here do not forget to see the hall of Photo that Mr. Winai dedicate for Nan Bupan , the ancient local artist who painted in Wat Nong Bua and Wat Bhumin. You can learn and understand well from the painting before visit the real sight.
Lunch at Pua
Then, we went to have lunch at small restaurant called IFM. Mr Dome selected so we can taste stake and western food in Nan. The food price are extremely cheap and the hospitality of the owner is very impressive. However, it will be better if the chef keep sugar in the kitchen rather than spring it on my dish.
A little complain at the beginning of the trip from me. I really do not like meal which is cook too sweet. I am not sure is this turn me to non-sweet person. haha.
Mushroom resort
Then we continue to charming place call Farm Hed Baan Hua Nam Home Stay. It is small resort made by Bangkokian person who in love with Nan and move hear for over 17 years. The main income is from mush room farm but he selected to do small resort to supplement income. It was impressive.
Silaleang Stem
We have a break for a couple hours . In the evening, we walked to Silaleang stem. The small stem go in to fantastic grenit mountain and it create a national wonder as you can see in the pictures.

At first no body want to go down since i carry the bags and etc. Dome enthusiastic and cheer up to make a little adventure. There we were. Nice pictures from Dome was one of the best pictures of my life. It will be better if i smaller than this. :)
We walked through the stem . The water was cool and run faster as waterfall. Every step went slow . We are not sure how deep the water was and afraid of my bag and camera to get wet.
After enjoy the natural , we return to resort before dark. The area has the peanut, tomato and corn farm since it has plenty of water. It was nice pictures before Sunset.

After we refresh and shower. We have impressive dinner which every menu has mushrooms. Oh Yeh , the food taste fabulous. After long walk, the heavy meal was a good reward.
No entertainment for tonight, everyone went to bed early since we plan to wake up early the next morning.
